• Floor options: Add a timber or plywood floor, or use the raised floor modification when installing on a concrete floor.
• Interior fit-out: Full timber framing allows you to easily fix tool hooks, shelves, and even line the shed with plywood.

DIY Installation & Build Detail

The Duratuf Metro Ponsonby Lifestyle Shed is well suited to competent DIYers with some building experience. The timber framing is supplied precut for straightforward assembly, with studs and nogs to nail together. Pre-formed wall steel sheets are then screwed to the frame, followed by roof sheets, flashings, and door tracks which are screwed or riveted into place. The roller door is supplied pre-made, ready to be hung on the installed tracks.

If you select the optional floor kit, the precut joists and plywood are designed to be nailed together with a hammer. A few small notches need to be cut for the studs, but otherwise the floor goes together in a simple, logical sequence.

DIY Difficulty Rating

• Suitable for a competent DIYer, recommended as a two-person job for handling wall and roof sheets and the roller door.
• Allow approximately a day and a bit for installation for someone with good DIY skills.
