DIY Assembly & Construction

The Galvo GVO1508 “Karaka” shed is supplied as a kitset, intended for straightforward assembly by someone with good DIY skills. Allow around half a day for installation for a competent DIYer, with wall sheets and roof panels joined using riveted channels.

• Wall sheets are joined with rivets, with top and bottom channels drilled and riveted.
• Once wall and roof panels are assembled, stand the wall panels up, drill and rivet the corners together, then fit the roof panels in the same manner.
• Drill and rivet the flashings to the shed to complete the weatherproofing.
• Assemble the door and fit it with the supplied hinges as the final step.
• If you choose the optional floor kit, precut runners and floorboards are nailed together with a hammer, and the floor is best constructed before starting on the shed assembly.
