DIY Assembly

Construction & DIY Information

These sheds are designed to be DIY projects, however we also offer a full install service at fixed prices should you prefer someone else to do this for you. Typically a shed of this size would take one of the installers we use *one day*. See shed options for pricing.

The Finger Jointed Cedar Hampshire Timber Garden Shed is designed with DIY installation in mind. Its modular assembly system uses treated framing clad with cedar weatherboards, supplied as panels that are joined together on site.

DIY Difficulty Rating

  • Straightforward installation for someone with good DIY skills
  • Allow approximately one day for a competent DIYer

What to Expect During Assembly

  • Join the wall panels together with silicone and bolts, then silicone and nail the beads.
  • Screw roof sheets and flashings to the shed, or fit the pre-made shingle roof (depending on your chosen roof type).
  • Hang the solid door once the structure is square and secure.
  • The optional floor kit is supplied with precut runners and floorboards that can be nailed together with a hammer.
