A robust full timber frame supports durable zinc and aluminium coated steel cladding, delivering long-lasting performance and a clean, modern appearance ideal for schools, workplaces, and roadside locations.

DIY Assembly

These sheds are designed to be DIY projects, however we also offer a full install service at fixed prices should you prefer someone else to do this for you. Typically a shed of this size would take one of the installers we use *one day*. See shed options for pricing.

DIY Build & Installation

The Duratuf Fortress BS 400 Bus Shelter is supplied as a kit designed for straightforward installation by someone with good DIY skills. Precut timber framing components are nailed together, and the steel wall and roof sheets, flashings and other components are then fixed in place.

The optional floor kit includes precut joists and floorboards. A few small notches need to be cut for the studs, and the floor can be fully nailed together with a hammer.

  • DIY difficulty rating: Intermediate DIY project; best completed by a competent DIYer in approximately one day.

  • Power drill
  • Drill bits 3.5mm
  • Drill bit 6mm (for clear roof panel only)
  • Riveter (free Duratuf riveter supplied in kit)
  • Hammer
  • Nail punch
  • Tape measure
  • String line / length of string
  • Masonry drill and 10mm masonry bit (for Bolt Down Kit only)
