DIY Build & Difficulty

The Duratuf Wairarapa Lifestyle Shed is supplied with precut timber framing and pre-formed steel components for straightforward assembly by an experienced DIYer or builder. The shed must be constructed in accordance with the building code. Expect a couple of days’ work for two to three people.

• DIY difficulty rating: Intermediate to advanced, 2–3 person job over a couple of days.
• Framing: Precut timber studs and nogs to nail together on site.
• Cladding & roof: Wall and roof steel sheets to screw to the frame, with flashings and door tracks to screw or rivet on.
• Door: Premade roller door supplied ready to hang.
• Fixing to base: Bolt down kits available for securing the shed to concrete.
