The Pinehaven Makaro Timber Garden Shed is supplied in modular panel form, making it easier to adapt to your site and storage needs.

  • Modular panel design: Panels are pre-framed and clad with treated pine weatherboards, allowing quick assembly and the ability to reconfigure the layout of doors and windows within the system.
  • Roof colour choices: Start with the standard Zincalume roof or upgrade to one of several pre-painted colours to coordinate with your house, fence, or other outdoor structures.
  • Lighting and storage: Optional clear light panels and extra shelving allow you to customise internal brightness and storage capacity.
  • Finish to suit your style: Treated pine cladding is supplied ready for you to stain or paint, so you can match existing structures or create a feature in your outdoor area.

This Makaro Timber Garden Shed can be tailored with several practical add-ons to improve performance and usability.

  • Roof Colour Upgrade (Colour Change): Upgrade from the standard Zincalume roof to a pre-painted steel colour of your choice to better match your home or surroundings.
  • Alternative Roof Colours: Choose from a range of colours including Sandstone Grey, Titania, New Denim Blue, Iron Sand, Gull Grey, Ebony, Grey Friars, Flax Pod, Slate, Thunder Grey, and Windsor Grey for a more integrated, customised look.
  • Optional Clear Light Panels: Add clear light panels to bring natural light into the shed, making it easier to see tools and equipment during the day.
  • Optional Shelves: Additional shelving can be added to increase vertical storage capacity above the three 1200 mm shelves already included.
  • Optional Lockable Handle: Upgrade the solid door with a lockable handle for improved security of valuable tools and equipment.

DIY Assembly

These sheds are designed to be DIY projects, however we also offer a full install service at fixed prices should you prefer someone else to do this for you. Typically a shed of this size would take one of the installers we use one day. See shed options for pricing.

DIY Construction & Assembly

The Makaro shed is supplied as a straightforward modular kitset, suitable for someone with good DIY skills. Allow about a day for a competent DIYer to complete the build.

DIY Difficulty Rating

  • Intermediate skill level, 1–2 person job.
  • Allow one full day for installation on a prepared, level base.

What to Expect During Assembly

  • Assemble the precut floor kit using runners and floorboards, which can be nailed together with a hammer.
  • Position and fix the modular wall panels with treated framing and pine weatherboards.
  • Join panels together using silicone and bolts, then silicone and nail the beads.
  • Fit and screw the roof sheets and flashings to the shed.
  • Hang the solid door and fit the chosen handle.
  • Fill nail holes, then stain with an oil-based stain or paint with a water-based paint.
