The Cardrona Shed is a premium New Zealand-made garden shed designed to provide stylish and secure storage for your property. Built to withstand local conditions, this durable storage shed combines high-tensile steel cladding with a robust timber frame for superior rigidity and weatherproofing.

• Durable Steel Cladding: Constructed with 0.4mm Armorsteel cladding and a multi-layered paint coating, the exterior is tough enough to resist extreme weather conditions.

• Versatile Interior: The internal timber frame allows for easy installation of shelves, workbenches, tool boards, and hooks to organize the space.

Available Accessories

• Floor Kit Options (for models under 10 m²): Includes ground treated H4 joists, a treadplate roller door threshold, and all required hardware, with either cut-to-size 17 mm H3 plywood sheets or cut-to-length thick H3.2 timber floorboards.

• Pedestrian Access Door: An inward-opening door measuring 810mm W x 1920mm H, available in fixed and opening configurations.

• Aluminium Joinery Window: Measuring 970mm W x 535mm H, available in fixed or opening configurations with the option of single or double glazing.

• Automatic Door Opener: A remote-controlled kit for convenient access (requires power supply to the shed).

• Clear Roof Panel: Provides UV-free natural daylight inside your shed, perfect for workshops where light is needed while the door is closed.

• Coastal Upgrade: Replaces standard cladding with Coastal grade cladding, featuring an extra thick layer of zinc-aluminium protection for harsh conditions.

• Very High Wind Upgrade Kit: An NZS 3604 compliant upgrade kit for Very High Wind Zones.

• Snow Load Upgrade Kit: Reinforces the inner roof structure to a 2kPa load rating, designed for higher elevation areas with severe snow to meet NZS 3604 standards.

DIY Build & Installation

This shed is well suited to capable DIYers or builders, with precut timber framing and pre-formed steel components. The shed must be built in accordance with the building code, and framing, cladding, and flashings are supplied ready to assemble on a prepared base.

• DIY Difficulty Rating: Intermediate to advanced DIY; recommended as a 2–3 person job over a couple of days.
• Construction Method: Precut timber framing to nail together; wall and roof steel sheets to screw to the frame; flashings and door tracks to screw or rivet on; bolt-down kit available for securing to a concrete base.
