Customisation

Customising Your Garden Master GM1818 to Suit Your Space

The Garden Master GM1818 Garden Shed is highly configurable, allowing you to tailor the layout, colours, and access to match your backyard and how you plan to use the shed.

  • Extensive Colour Options: Choose Alu-Zinc or a wide selection of colours for the walls, roof, trim, and door so the shed blends with or accents your home and garden.
  • Door Style & Positioning: Configure your shed with a standard single door or upgrade to double doors, hinged or sliding. You can keep the default position or move the door along the long wall or to an end wall to suit paths, fences, or existing structures.
  • Additional and Extra Doors: Add extra single or double doors, including options specific to the end wall, to create multiple entry points.
  • Window Placement: Add louvre windows to the front, sides, back, or as an extra back window to bring in light and cross-ventilation where it’s most useful.
  • Adjustable Wall Height: Increase the wall height by +150mm or +300mm to improve headroom or make space for longer tools and equipment.
  • Roof Lighting: Include a skylite roof sheet for additional natural light over workbenches or storage areas.
  • Corner Treatment: Choose between standard corners or upgraded corner flashings for a more refined appearance.
  • Internal Storage Layout: Use tool hooks and shelf brackets to customise internal storage, keeping frequently used tools and smaller items neatly organised and off the floor.

Together these options allow you to configure the GM1818 as a compact workshop, bike store, or general garden storage shed precisely matched to your site and storage priorities.

DIY Assembly

These sheds are designed to be DIY projects, however we also offer a full install service at fixed prices should you prefer someone else to do this for you. Typically a shed of this size would take one of the installers we use one day. See shed options for pricing.

DIY Construction & Assembly

Straightforward installation for someone with good DIY skills. Wall sheets are joined with rivets, and the top and bottom channels are drilled and riveted. Once all wall and roof panels are prepared, stand the wall panels up, drill and rivet them together, then fix the roof panels in the same manner. Finally, drill and rivet the flashings to the shed and attach the door with the supplied hinges.

The optional floor kit consists of precut runners and floorboards which can be nailed together with a hammer. If using a kitset floor, assemble the floor before you start building the shed.

Allow approximately one day for installation for a competent DIYer.
